The 157 pictures of this virtual exhibition are for the most part from the picture collection of Walter Dienstl, which is available in form of scans at the Archives for the History of Sociology in Austria, the others are from the »Marienthal« Virtual Archives of the Archives for the History of Sociology in Austria. The 21 objects are nearly all from the collection of Josef Malicek. This exhibition was supported by the Government of Lower Austria.

Before entering the gallery a view at the »Short chronicle of Gramatneusiedl, Marienthal, and Neu-Reisenberg« and the map of the Marienthal textile factory is recommended.

A revised version of this exhibition with 22 visuals can be ordered by the Archives for the History of Sociology in Austria (look at Information on this exhibition). Reference should be made also on the illustrated book »Mythos Marienthal. Blicke auf die Fabrik, die Arbeiterkultur und die Arbeitslosen« by Reinhard Müller.
